Downtown Lock Haven Inc. and the Clinton County Veterans Affairs Office are pleased to announce the 2009 Hometown Hero Banner Program. This streetlight banner program is a tribute to those from Clinton County who have or are serving our country in a branch of the military.   

The 2008 Clinton County Hometown Hero Program was a successful project that included a total of 367 banners installed downtown and along the river.  This project started many initiatives including the Clinton County Hometown Hero Mural, Comedy Night, and a beautiful newspaper series now featured every Monday in the Express entitled “The Lives Behind the Banners”.  The impact of this program has yet to be measured but we know it meant a great deal to over six hundred family members and friends who attended the May unveiling ceremony.  We also know that we have made such an impression that communities across Pennsylvania and from around the country are replicating this program.  The Clinton County Hometown Hero Program has brought our community closer together; it is one that we wish to continue and that is why we need your help.

The cost of a banner sponsorship is $200. A sponsorship form is available for you to download. Please complete the form and mail it with your sponsorship check made payable to Downtown Lock Haven Inc. Your financial support will allow us to include over 350 banners in our downtown; a beautiful tribute to our veterans.
